I like that crazy song. Gilbert someone or another sang it I think?
Jim left to go back to Georgia early yesterday morning. After lunch, I went over to my mom’s to help her with a few things, and when we were finished we played some Scrabble. Our first game began with both of us having a seven letter word, always fun!
When I got back home I took a few pictures of the new iris colors in bloom, as well as our spirea which are now in full bloom. Aren’t they gorgeous? They smell fabulous!
I’m starting to fall behind on yard work, but since starting on blood pressure medicine a couple of months ago, I find myself extremely tired. Hopefully a side effect that will wear off soon.
Next week I go in for an echocardiogram and a stress test, and will be wearing a holter monitor, as my pulse has been crazy elevated. Since I didn’t track it prior to starting on the meds, I’ve no idea of they are causing it or not. It will probably be perfect the entire time I wear the darn thing. Kind of like taking your car to a mechanic.
I’m still (extremely slowly) losing weight. Yay! Yesterday’s lunch was a simple Italian salad topped with shrimp. I haven’t been super hungry for dinner lately, so I decided to mix up some overnight oats this morning and thought I’d have them for dinner with a cup of tea.
Tomorrow I have to go have a Covid swab done before I can do the rest of the tests, so I guess I’ll find out if I’ve had the virus!
I treated myself to a 6 month subscription to Ancestry for my birthday, so I have been absorbed in research lately. I can’t get any further on my main lines, so I’m back to working on Jim’s. It’s frustrating how well documented his ancestors appear to be compared to mine. His show up on every census record, have been in the US forever, and most of mine didn’t come over until the late 1800’s, and seem to have avoided being documented anywhere!
