Appliqués are Done!

I finished blanket stitching down the appliqués on the border I added.

Now I’m going to let it sit again while I decide what to do with it next. I could trim the border down an inch and add a pieced border, I could add a small solid border, or I could just bind it. Not sure yet!

I have been learning more about working with vector images, using a combination of Affinity Designer and my Silhouette Studio software. I really enjoy making food tags for food I gift, and had some fun learning more about the software making these.

I’m hoping to get out today and take my mom to the grocery store. The end of my driveway is a solid sheet of ice, which would be no problem getting out, but I’d not be able to get back up it until it is at least slushy, which should happen sometime today, yay!

What a beautiful wall hanging or table topper. I love it. In my head, I think add a solid red binding and call it good. I think a pieced border with the appliques would be too busy. You accomplished a lot with that project. Used up some scraps, learned your cricut machine and made something beautiful to enjoy, all during snow days!

Thank you Kim, I had quite a bit of fun doing it. I think maybe I should stick with small projects for a while. I don’t get overwhelmed or lose interest, and they inspire me to try something different.
