Baking Frenzy
I’ve been keeping myself busy cutting my fabrics for my quilt retreat, deciding what to pack, and baking up a storm!
I can’t share a recipe for any of these as it was a crazy day and I made mass quantities of buttermilk enriched dough, in my usual method of adding the ingredients I wanted to use by look and feel.
The fillings were put together simply by using up stuff I had in my pantry and refrigerator. They might be great, they might not be! đ
Mostly I’ve been doing computer clean up. When the new MacOS is released shortly, it will be 64 bit only. Some of my software, like Electric Quilt 8 has to be updated to 64bit. EQ has promised that will happen in tandem with the MacOS release, but EQ5 and earlier files will need to be converted to EQ8 to be opened.
I don’t have many EQ5 files, but I have been converting versions 5, 6 & 7 over to V8 while I’m at it. I shared this image previously on how I organize and annotate my EQ files in DevonThink.

I’m now doing the same for my Quilting Motifs for my IntelliQuilter. Right now I’m working on just pantographs. I’d saved screenshots of all the designs on my IntelliQuilter, and put the image in the annotations box so I can quickly scroll through them and see the designs.

This is a long overdue project. I have hundreds if not thousands of digitized computer designs, and they need organizing!

Pardon me, Sweetie, but what language were you using when you talked about all your compute work??? LOL!!! Once again I am in awe of your incredible smarts and talent. I’m lucky to be able to use Word and find my files. đ (However, I do feel pretty good about my bread making skills.) Hope you’re having a great Labor Day, and that maybe Jim got the day off??
I love computers. Definitely an addiction for me! Jim is still out of a job, so weâre still goofing off. đ
Your techie knowledge and know how has always amazed and astounded me!! I am so in the mood to bake! I canât wait for some cooler weather, then the baking can begin!!
Cool weather for me simply means sourdough season! I bake all the time. It’s a good thing we have solar or our electric bill would probably be astronomical. :). I am and have been, since my first apple computer back in the 80’s, totally addicted to computers.
