I’m 10 days into eating off of my DNA report.
135.4lbs, BP 113/79, P 62, Glucose 99
Weight stopped increasing after the first 3 days, and has basically stayed the same for a week. My glucose levels are still higher (I’m only testing my morning fasting level) but my blood pressure has finally dropped back into my normal range for the past 3 days.
I still have a daily headache, but it completely goes away after 2 excedrins. No migraines.
I haven’t counted any calories, and I know that I’m eating a ton of them, because for me, fiber is never as filling as fat heavy meats and cheese, so I’m eating quite a bit more. A large apple smeared with peanut butter is about 900 calories alone! That was dinner last night!
I was doing chia seed pudding for breakfast, but recently discovered “overnight” oats, and love them! Instead of cooking the oats, the texture of which has always completely grossed me out, resembling nothing more than bowl of snot(!), you soak them, letting them thicken overnight.
This is the mix I’ve been using… excuse the random measurement units, I started with a recipe I found online and have been adjusting it each morning.
1/2 cup Raw Rolled Oats
1 tablespoon raw unsalted sunflower seeds
1 tablespoon ground flax seeds
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Pinch of salt
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 1/8 cups unsweetened almond milk (sub any kind of milk)
2 dates, chopped
60 grams blueberries
I may try swapping out the almond milk for water, but I am not adding any sweetener, so it might not taste good if I do.
Jim and I joined a couple of friends last night at the campus, where the local community groups put on a musical based on superhero movie theme songs.
