Leftover Block Quilt
I’ve been pushing myself hard to get my mom’s bedroom done. I hadn’t planned on this second quilt, but since I designed the first one on the fly, I ended up with too many leftover blocks to waste them.
I really like the way this one turned out! On point quilts are my favorite. I love the way they look, but they square up so nicely!

If you cut all the setting blocks an extra inch larger than needed, it leaves plenty to make them square well.
I use a 24-1/2 inch square ruler. It’s heavy and does’t slip when trimming. It’s also well marked so you can line up your edges to your block lines.
Today I hope to at least get the pillow shams quilted!

Love the quilt of valor! I will be taking mine to retreat in December as I had started it for Glen and it is painful to work on by myself.
Aw… bless your heart. What are you planning to do with it when you finish it Bernice?
