Mariner’s Star Languishing

Quilting Mojo Needed!

I designed this quilt and started on it sometime around the end of last year, or the beginning of this year… it coincided with my mom selling her home in Missouri and us moving her down to Arkansas, so it got set aside.

I did some work on it, the inner star points are made, although I haven’t decided which should be the center yet.

Then I designed and made a couple of quilts for my mom’s bedroom. I needed an easy project for a quilt retreat, which was my 2019 Quilt of Valor, and next thing you know, I’m totally lost with my project and having a hard time getting back to it.

I pulled it out today, cringed at the thought of the work involved, and set it aside again. In the winter, I tend to prefer knitting and crochet, and spend more time quilting during the spring and summer months.

But maybe, just maybe, I can talk myself into getting back to work on this project!

I have about 25 renditions of it in Electric Quilt. Nothing is absolutely final on it yet, but that’s the basic look I was aiming for.

Thank you Julie. I tend to favor simple, traditional designs, but I enjoy the challenge of assembling more complex ones.

Your feedback is always welcome! If you have a question, I will respond to it here.
