That’s it. Miss Myrtle typically can’t keep her opinions to herself, is being most unhelpful today. That’s all she had to offer, “oh my stars!” Hmph.
I finished setting the star points into my background fabric and adding the borders. There’s more “white” space than I anticipated, and I didn’t care for my appliqués in the outer corners, so I flipped them and moved them inward.
But I can’t decided if I like them towards the outer corners, halfway, or closest to the star center. I’m leaning towards the latter. Your opinion is most welcome since the divine Miss M won’t give me hers!
Those are going to be quite the chore to appliqué on now, as I’ll have to manipulate the entire thing around all those little curves. It is a thirty nine inch square as it stands right now, seven inches bigger than was intended do to my border snafu.

I kind of like them further out. It makes the star the focus.
Thank you Diane 🙂
The furthest out version causes my eyes to see the illusion of perfection 🤗
Haha… no perfection here! Thank you for helping me choose.
I like them all, but furthest out is my favorite, seems more balanced.
Thank you Terissa, I guess I’m odd man out!
Another vote for furthest out.
I think I’m outvoted! Thanks Sue!
It’s gorgeous regardless of what you choose. I like the furthest out. I would suggest trying a mirror of the applique further in the corner, but I wouldn’t want to take away from the center.
Thank you Debbie. I originally had the appliqués mirrored. I’m still playing with it. Just added some circles to the mix 🙂
Further out. Otherwise the star gets lost.
Thank you Chris. 🙂
I am a fan of further out too
Thank you Sandra.
I also like the furthest out. It’s beautiful.
Thanks Laura. I’m sleeping on it… it just doesn’t look quite right to me.
Sorry, buy I am with the others and like them further from the center star.
Furthest out gets my vote too.
Thank you Janine.
