Retreat Quilt
I’ve been pushing really hard to get my mom’s bedroom done. I finished the second quilt for her yesterday, and have it washed and it’s drying now.
I managed to get three sides of it bound yesterday at the Quilt House over in Clarksville, and finished the remaining side last night. We always have such a great time there!
Pictured are some of the quilts the girls have been working on. And an adorable model wearing a zipper wig!
My poor brain has been spinning trying to come up with a project for the quilt retreat which is a week away, but most of my designs these days are just too complex for me to do at a retreat. Too many distractions!
I woke up this morning decided a Quilt of Valor would be perfect. I designed a super easy layout this morning in Electric Quilt and have begun cutting it, yippee!

I haven’t made one this year, so I’m due.
One of my girlfriends had a birthday this week. We now celebrate birthday “week” instead of day, and do our best to spread the fun over several days. At our age, we’ve earned a bit of extra fun!

Friends, beer and pizza. Hard to go wrong.

Your Quilt of Valor design is beautiful. What a brilliant idea to have a celebration week for a birthday. I will be hinting for this next year myself *giggle*. The girl’s quilts are lovely and the little model, as you say, is adorable. 🙂
Thank you Maureen, and a week long celebration is so much fun!
Your QOV design is beautiful but it doesn’t look all that simple to me. Enjoy your retreat.
Thank you Linda, it will be a piece of cake 🙂
