I’m feeling pretty pumped! I’ve finished drawing the dogwood appliqué into the Silhouette Studio software. The warp tool is SUPER cool! No, it isn’t perfect, but I’m just getting started and like Electric Quilt, I will learn as I go.
I made sure to add a sticky note in Silhouette Studio where this design idea came from.
I saved my working file as an .svg file, then uploaded it into Cricut Design space, where I removed the stems, as I will cut them by hand I think, and shaped them… if not I’ll add them back. I then removed the duplicates of each shape except for the flowers, as all three of mine are different sizes.
The software brought them in as print and cut images, so I had to change them Basic Cuts.
I’ve only had the Maker and Design Space for a few days, so I’m really winging it here, but as long as I end up where I need, that’s okay!
And I did! Each color is on its own separate mat, and each is set to cut. Except for the two large floral backgrounds, I will change the green, white and yellow to one color and print them out in one pass, after cutting a section of wool felt to the size needed.
