Why Do Quilter’s Have Cats?

I mean, I just finished carefully laying out what I’ve sewn so far for my mini lone star wallhanging, walked into my office, and Siri Cat has scattered my entire project to all four corners of my sewing room. Again.

This is the innocent facade she projects while I’m in the room. “Just checking the layout for you… oh look, you clipped off a corner point there!” Yeah yeah yeah. I turn my back and devastation ensues.

I think she may have eaten Miss Myrtle. I haven’t seen her this morning, which is unusual. The pair of them tend to team up on me in the wee hours with their sarcasm and ahem wit.

Cats just seem to be fascinated by sewing.

I wonder why that is? I know mine goes crazy for anything quilt related!

She’s a quilt inspector. Sometimes my cat disapproves of my layout and rearranges it. A lot.
