After perusing more photos of dresses, hats, shoes and coats from the period of 1900-1915 or so, I’ve decided that the Mary Janes I’ve had on the doll with the Suffrage outfit aren’t right.
Button boots were still the style up until about 1915-1918 or so. With that in mind, I’ll be pairing these boots with the first suffrage outfit.
The Mary Janes will be perfect for the next outfit I have in mind, which will be geared towards 1915-1920 or so.
This morning, believe it or not, I found the perfect button at Walmart for the blouse broach!
Miss Myrtle is feeling better and happy to be back to work. She helped me cut out the scary jacket this morning, and we’ve done a bit of work on it today.

That is the perfect button! Love the boots.
I couldn’t believe it, Walmart score!
I’m happy to hear that Miss Myrtle is on the mend. She really liked that sparkle button – hint, hint Her little mind is recording all of these things. Seriously CJ, that outfit is gorgeous!! I can’t believe the hours you have put in on it. It’s museum quality!
She did like that sparkle button! Typical mouse, anything shiny! Thank you Mary Ann, I have definitely put some hours into this outfit.
