Churn Dash Blocks Completed!

This morning I finished piecing the Churn Dash blocks, there are forty one of them. Since my quilt will be square, I chose to make the center block in the gray floral that will be used in my border, with the center the red that will be used in my sashing blocks.

This of course, doesn’t show the pieced sashing border because I haven’t pieced it yet.

I chose eight different red fabrics, five blocks of each. I do believe I’m going to like this quilt a lot! It should have a light hearted, traditional look to it, which I hope to reflect in the quilting as well.

That’s all the sewing for today. We are doing another group bicycle ride today, and again tomorrow if the weather holds. We had quite a large turnout last weekend, including several husbands!

It won’t be quite as warm today, but it’s supposed to be in the fifties.
